Broke Til Payday started in 2009 as a folk/country band. We solidified a lineup in 2012 with Geraldton James on bass, Matt Baumann on drums, KC on guitar/vox and Camden Blues on guitar. During the summer of 2012, Camden and James left town so Chuck Finale began playing bass for the band. Broke Til Payday performed at the Cover Show in Thunder Bay as Hank III in June of 2012. Later that month, the band drastically changed directions and began playing offensive punk rock for fun. This album is the result of this direction change. At this point, anything can happen for the band. The next album might be folk, it might be metal, it might be clown music. At least you have this punk rock for now. The album attacks mostly local Thunder Bay subjects including welfare bums, the Apollo, the local economy and neighbours in Westfort. A sense of humor and appreciation for low budget punk rock should be necessary before approaching this album. It was recorded for $0 in Revolution Music's studio using Presonus converters and an assortment of microphones. Reaper was used for editing and processing. The backing tracks of drums, bass and rhythm guitar were recorded live off the floor on July 27, 2012 using 8 mics and 8 channels. Overdubs in Reaper happened over the next month for vocals and lead guitar. There was an initial run of 50 cd's released on August 30, 2012.
